It all started with a friend in need.

In 2009, while helping a friend in-need with her family’s health insurance claims, Nancy Kaye found that people often struggled with healthcare bills – either because of lack of time, understanding or energy. Along with her husband Mitchell, she set out to find a better way to help people manage their healthcare reimbursements and get the most out of their plans. In September 2009, MedClaims Liaison was founded to serve this unmet need in the market.

Most people have neither the time nor the desire to read through the 100-plus pages of their health care plans, review complex EOBs, review physician codes, and negotiate with their insurance companies. But that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t get done.

MCL wants to do this work to ensure that individuals are receiving all of the benefits that they have actually paid for!

Through our experience, we know that most people do not utilize their plans to the fullest extent – whether because they don’t know how to, or because they lack the time. We are going to change this.
